Exhibition Introduction
Launched in 1993 and hosted by the Turkish Ministry of National Defence, IDEF (Turkey International Defence, Military & Police Professional Expo) ranks among Turkey’s largest exhibitions dedicated to the military, police, and defence sectors, held once every two years. This exhibition brings together military equipment and technology manufacturers, designers, sellers, and buyers from across the globe, showcasing the latest military, police, and defence equipment and technologies, offering a wide range of information and services related to military security, and hosting thematic events and seminars covering areas such as military technology, security technology, and international security—thereby providing participants with opportunities to engage in exchanges with industry leaders and peers.
IDEF 2023 was attended by 94,198 visitors from 107 countries.
A total of 1,461 companies from 55 countries participated in IDEF 2023, including 689 domestic companies and 772 international companies operating in the defence, security, maritime, aerospace, and aviation industries.
187 delegations comprising 738 members from 78 countries and 3 international organizations took part in the exhibition, with all delegations invited by the Turkish Ministry of National Defence, Ministry of Interior, and the Presidency of Defence Industries of the Republic of Turkey.
During the exhibition, 5,397 official meetings were held between delegations, exhibitors, and 31 offices of Turkish procurement authorities, while 141 agreements were signed by Turkish procurement authorities, delegations, and domestic and international companies.
Over the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th days of the exhibition, 5 panel discussions and 8 keynote speeches were arranged.
The 30th edition of IDEF 2023 broke historical records in terms of visitor numbers, delegation count, exhibitor quantity, and the number of signing ceremonies.

Remotely Operated Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs): Complete UAV systems, control and navigation equipment, UAV payload devices, energy and power equipment, communication and data link systems, etc.
Ammunition, Turret Weapons & Related Equipment: Various types of bullets, anti-aircraft guns, air defence systems, tank weapon systems, day and night sighting systems, night-vision devices, rangefinders, silencers; non-lethal bullets and their launchers; electric batons, handcuffs, leg irons, stun flashlights, high-intensity flashlights, police ropes, warning tapes, holsters, roadblocks, riot control devices, firearms cabinets, etc.
