2025 LIMA

Exhibition Dates:July 2027
Venue:Langkawi, Malaysia
Frequency:Biennial

Exhibition Introduction

As one of the world’s most renowned maritime and aerospace defense exhibitions, the 2025 LIMA Malaysia International Air & Maritime Defence Exhibition traces its origins back to 1991. Held biennially in odd-numbered years under the full patronage of the Malaysian government, the event serves as a strategic platform for showcasing cutting-edge technologies across maritime defense, aerospace, civil aviation, and homeland security sectors, with a primary focus on the Asia-Pacific market.
Aligned with Malaysia’s 12th Malaysia Plan (2021–2025), which prioritizes enhancing public security and strengthening strategic industries, the exhibition reflects the nation’s growing defense expenditure, particularly in naval and air force modernization. By 2027, Malaysia’s defense budget is projected to reach $5.2 billion, driven by ambitions to accelerate military transformation and address evolving security challenges in the South China Sea and broader Indo-Pacific region.
