Exhibition Overview
EDEX 2027 will take place at the Cairo International Exhibition Center from December 6 to 9, 2027. As Egypt's leading tri-service defence exhibition, EDEX is also the region's unparalleled comprehensive professional platform and the only flagship national defence event that comprehensively covers the African and Middle Eastern markets while integrating land, sea and air defence and security technologies.
The exhibition is co-organized by the Ministry of Defence of Egypt, the Egyptian Armed Forces, the Arab Organization for Industrialization (AOI), and the internationally renowned exhibition organizer Clarion Events. H.E. President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi serves as the Supreme Patron of the exhibition, with the full endorsement of the Supreme Commander of the Egyptian Armed Forces throughout the event.
Since its inception, EDEX has evolved through multiple editions into an indispensable industry benchmark for global defence enterprises seeking to penetrate the Middle Eastern and African defence markets. It also serves as a core gateway for domestic and international companies to showcase cutting-edge national defence technologies, conduct national-level defence cooperation and establish a strong foothold in regional markets. The previous edition witnessed the signing of 32 national-level defence cooperation agreements with a total contract value exceeding US$5 billion.
The 4th edition of EDEX, held in 2025, achieved unprecedented new heights in overall scale and industry influence. Spanning 45,000 square meters of dedicated exhibition space, the event brought together over 450 exhibitors from 86 countries and regions worldwide, with 25 countries establishing official national pavilions.
The exhibition welcomed more than 45,000 professional visitors in total, including over 100 official delegations led by senior national defence officials and heads of equipment procurement from across the globe. It received comprehensive real-time coverage from 670 authoritative international media outlets, generating over 20 million online and offline impressions. As previously noted, 32 national-level defence cooperation agreements were signed on-site, with a total transaction value surpassing US$5 billion.
