2026  SEDEC

Exhibition Dates: December 1-3, 2026
Venue: Ankara, Türkiye

Frequency: Biennial Event

Exhibition Overview

The 5th edition of SEDEC will be held in Ankara, the capital of Türkiye, from December 1 to 3, 2026. Founded in 2018 and held biennially, it has successfully completed four editions. With the core philosophy of "Precision Matching, Efficient Cooperation", the exhibition focuses on one-on-one B2B/B2G business meetings, dedicated to building a direct communication bridge for global security industry enterprises with government departments, military procurement agencies and leading industry enterprises in Türkiye and nei***oring countries.
SEDEC precisely targets the fast-growing niche market of homeland and border security. It enjoys official support from the Secretariat of Defence Industries (SSB) under the Presidency of Türkiye, and is one of the officially recognized core procurement platforms for Türkiye's security industry. The exhibition will continue its distinctive feature of combining expositions with bilateral meetings, providing exhibitors with high-quality one-on-one buyer matching services to facilitate more trade cooperation.

Exhibition Highlights

1. Unmatched Official Endorsement

Since its inception in 2018, SEDEC has consistently received official support from the Secretariat of Defence Industries (SSB) and the Turkish Defence and Aerospace Industries Exporters' Association (SSI). This partnership has been maintained for four consecutive editions and will continue through 2026. The exhibition provides direct access to all core procurement decision-making bodies in Türkiye's security sector:

  • Under the Ministry of Interior: General Directorate of Security, Gendarmerie General Command, Coast Guard Command, Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency (AFAD)
  • Under the Ministry of National Defence: Land, Naval and Air Forces Commands, General Directorate of Military Factories, General Directorate of Shipyards
  • Core government departments including the National Intelligence Organization and Information and Communication Technologies Authority (BTK)

2.Industry-Leading One-on-One B2B/B2G Matchmaking

SEDEC's core competitiveness lies in its mature and efficient business matching system, which precisely connects buyers with clear procurement intentions based on exhibitors' products and target markets. The exhibition provides exclusive meeting schedules and private negotiation spaces to ensure the efficiency of every business exchange, making it one of the most efficient professional platforms for business docking in Türkiye's security industry.
SEDEC adheres to the principle of "Quality First, Precision Matching". Its strict admission threshold completely filters out non-professional visitors, sightseers and invalid traffic, ensuring that every visitor entering the exhibition hall is a core industry professional who has passed rigorous qualification verification and possesses genuine procurement needs and decision-making authority.
Historical data shows that over 85% of SEDEC's professional visitors hold direct procurement decision-making authority or significant advisory power. On average, each exhibitor can connect with more than 20 potential customers from different countries and regions. The high precision brought by the high threshold allows exhibitors to focus their limited time and energy on truly interested clients, significantly improving return on investment.

3.Strategic Access to Three Continents

Located at the crossroads of Europe, Asia and Africa, Türkiye is a strategic hub connecting Europe, the Middle East, Central Asia and North Africa. From its inception, SEDEC has clearly defined "export-oriented" as its core objective. Previous editions have focused on inviting official procurement delegations from Türkiye's friendly countries and regions. The 2024 edition particularly increased efforts to invite procurement delegations from the Asia-Pacific and South America, and this scope will be further expanded in 2026 to help exhibitors explore broader international markets.

4.Comprehensive 2026 Upgrade

  • Further optimization of the B2B matching algorithm to improve meeting precision and conversion rates
  • Expansion of international procurement delegations, with a focus on increasing official delegations from South America and the Asia-Pacific
  • Launch of a new "Emerging Technologies Zone" focusing on cutting-edge fields such as AI security, unmanned systems and cybersecurity
  • Organization of more targeted industry sub-forums and supply-demand matchmaking meetings
