Exhibition Introduction
The Langkawi International Maritime & Aerospace Exhibition (LIMA) is one of the world's most renowned maritime and aerospace exhibitions. With a long-standing history dating back to 1991, the event is held biennially in odd-numbered years with the full support of the Malaysian government.
LIMA is dedicated to the Asia-Pacific market, with a core focus on maritime, coastal defense, aerospace, civil aviation, national defense and other related sectors. Under the 12th Malaysia Plan launched in 2021, the Malaysian government outlined plans to strengthen public security and order, as well as enhance strategic industries. Meanwhile, Malaysia's military expenditure has been increasing year by year, particularly in the naval and air force sectors, as the government seeks to accelerate the modernization transformation of its armed forces. Malaysia's defense budget is expected to reach USD 5.2 billion by 2027.
